You can shape a stronger, healthier Coatesville community.

In some of Pennsylvania’s poorest neighborhoods, our children, elders, adults and youth lack opportunities and quality health services they need to thrive.

But you can change this.  When you donate to the Brandywine Health Foundation, you’re helping an expectant mom get critical prenatal care.  Training school staff to help a student in crisis.  Educating our healthcare workers of the future.  When you donate, you’re making a difference for the Coatesville area.

Donate Now

For over fifteen years the Brandywine Health Foundation has been working with the Coatesville community to tackle our region’s most pressing health problems with real solutions.  But with your help, there is so much more we can accomplish!

In the coming decade, we have strategically prioritized efforts that impact the nine municipalities in the Coatesville Area School District – some of Pennsylvania’s poorest neighborhoods in one of America’s wealthiest counties.

It’s here, where our roots lie, that the greatest need persists.  And it’s here that your charitable dollars can have the most dramatic impact.

Will you help address the inequity in health services, improve opportunities for young people, and transform the Coatesville community?  Now more than ever, your neighbors need you!

For many of us, there is a compelling need to make a difference—to leave a lasting impact on the people most dear to us and the world in which we live. Philanthropy is an expression of your generosity with the understanding that your gift to us can make a significant impact here in the greater Coatesville area, a community where there is great need but also great promise.

There are many ways in which you can make a gift to further our important work and help create a strong, healthy, and vibrant Coatesville Community.

What kind of legacy will you leave?

Planned giving is a way to integrate your personal, financial and estate planning goals. The right planned gift may provide you with tax and income benefits while helping our organization further its mission. Here are two of the most common planned gifts you can make:

Outright Gift of an Asset

If you wish to make a gift to support the Brandywine Health Foundation this year but are concerned about preserving your cash resources, consider a gift of an appreciated asset. A gift of securities, business interests or real estate can provide you with significant income and capital gains tax savings, often exceeding the benefits of a cash gift.

IRA Charitable Rollover

Congress made permanent the law that allows people age 70½ or older who own an IRA to make cash gifts directly from their IRA to charity. For many people, this is the best tax-wise way to give. An IRA rollover gift will not be included in your taxable income and will qualify for your required minimum distribution.

For more information on becoming a member of our legacy society or to discuss a planned gift, contact Jill Whitcomb, Vice President for Development and Communications at 610-380-9080 x 103 or via email.

A current Estate Plan is vital to making sure your wishes are carried out and can help you leave a lasting personal legacy.  It’s easy to get started.  With just a little planning you can have peace of mind knowing you have taken care of your family and secured their future. To assist you with making or updating your future plans, we can provide you with our FREE Planning Your Legacy wills guide. Many of our supporters have found this guide useful in helping them think through their goals. To obtain a copy, please contact us.
