Our Mission
The Brandywine Health Foundation‘s mission is to initiate and support programs to improve and sustain the health and well being of our community.
Our Vision
The board and staff work diligently each day toward a shared vision: ensuring that all children and their families in the greater Coatesville area have access to quality primary healthcare services, dental care, behavioral health services and youth development programs so that our young people can grow up safely and prepared to serve as productive citizens in our community.
Together, we will make Coatesville the healthiest community in Chester County and in Pennsylvania.
We know that we’re losing ground in the battle against childhood obesity, that many areas of our community suffer from a lack of access to fresh produce and safe places to exercise, we have a staggering number of uninsured adults and children, and a significant percentage of Coatesville Area School District youth and young adults have juvenile or adult records that hinder or prevent them from obtaining gainful employment, entering the military or accessing higher education.
The good news is that the residents of our community are partnering with the Brandywine Health Foundation, other funders, nonprofits, businesses, health care leaders, policymakers, educators and others who share our belief that Coatesville can be one of the healthiest communities in our nation.. It’s a lofty goal, yes, but our children deserve nothing less. We can’t do it alone, though… join us and help make our next ten years even more successful than the first ten!
